Awarded business case VyCAP

In the second call of Valorisation Programme of NanoNextNL (December 2015) the following business case was awarded:

Diagnostic Point of Care Device for Cell Analysis in Cerebrospinal Fluid

Driven by costs, quality and efficiency the clinical diagnostics  is under pressure. Routine analysis are outsourced to centralised laboratories leaving behind laboratory with insufficient resources to analyse emergency samples  that require highly trained and skilled lab technicians. The analysis of Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) and the detection of Sepsis in blood are two examples that are under large pressure. Within VyCAP we have created a disposable cartridge that is capable of analysing these samples efficiently with excellent analysis results. The cartridge is disposable, and requires no to very little training and fits perfectly within these new hospital organisations.
