Numerical methods for diffuse interface models of binary flows

In this thesis, a model for diffuse-interface binary-phase flows have been derived. For the simulation of the model a numerical strategy is developed and implemented considering the application of droplet formation in inkjet processes. Furthermore, an error estimation methodology is introduced in order to check the accuracy of the approximation for the time dependent nonlinear partial differential equations (PDE’s).
